For those not hearing the news, PS4 as of Oct 2, will be cross play with all games, all consoles.
The cross play feature was in beta for a few months to help iron out some of the issues with certain games, and now anyone can play at any time. Developers are already preparing updates so players can play together.
Is this a good/bad thing? That’s up to the player(s).
For those wondering, cross play was a thing back in the PS2 era with Final Fantasy 11 between PS2, PC, and later Xbox 360. So naysayers can’t say this is the first time because cross play existed and 11 is proof.
