The memory alone is worth more than just a video and/pictures. This is why older people tend to hold onto certain moments better than the newer generation, and have better impact on what they’re saying. Some will argue lack of tech back then, however scenes like this just makes the lack of tech less of a reason and more of an excuse on the younger generation.
Some pics are understandable (like snow in northern Arizona), however 200+ pics for a 5 minute moment is a little excessive. There’s also a difference between taking reference pics/videos, and just wasting time. Seeing your children grow up, or favorite pets doing something, or a high score on a game are fine, but scenes like above are best left to your eyes and not the tech.
That time you take to get the camera ready is time taken away to enjoy certain moments, don’t waste them.
